AWARDED FOR
The best delivered paper at the annual CSZ Summerschool, not necessarily by a CSZ member.

BACKGROUND
Initiated in 1990 by the late Jean van Vught (CSZ Council Member 1991/92 and 1990 Summerschool Organising Committee Chairman) and renamed in her memory after her death in April 1992.

OBJECTIVE
To motivate speakers to improve presentation and delivery of papers, and to encourage delegates to perform a comparative assessment of all papers.

THE AWARD
The award to be a NON-floating award which can be retained permanently by the recipient. To be purchased by the Summerschool organising committee and engraved with appropriate wording.

ADJUDICATION
The award to be judged by Summerschool attendees. The Summerschool organising committee to decide exactly how this will be done (eg. delegates to complete an evaluation form, simple voting by show of hands or voting slips).
