LAUNCH OF PROFESSIONAL MEMBER GRADE
Following the recent changes to the Society’s constitution, we are pleased to advise that applications for the new Professional Member grade may be submitted as from 1 September 2015. This applies to aspiring new members and regrading of existing members.
At this time, in order for us to gain some experience, the process will be by manually entered application forms and attachments – however work is already in progress on the proposed online system which will be introduced when practical.
Fees: Existing members $75 per annum, New members $100 – see note below.
As provided for in the amended constitution, the assessment for grading will be based on a points system, so it’s very important to include any information relevant to qualifications and professional experience, and this will also avoid delays in the assessment process.
Successful applicants will thereafter be required to maintain a personal CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programme, the details of which will be supplied following acceptance for the grade.
Once a sufficient number of Professional Members have been accepted, the Society intends to actively publicise and market its professional membership.
