AWARDED FOR
The best delivered paper at the annual CSZ Winter Business School, not necessarily by a CSZ member.
BACKGROUND
Initiated in 1994 in memory of the late Dave Roberts (CSZ Council Member 1987/92 and Treasurer 1992/93) who
was killed in a motor accident in October 1992. This award was originally intended to encourage CSZ members
to write articles for publication in local or international newspapers and journals, but later awarded for the
best presentation at Business School. Dave Roberts was the first mentor of Busibess School (IPMW as it was then known) in 1988.
OBJECTIVE
To motivate speakers to improve presentation and delivery of papers, and to encourage delegates to perform
a comparative assessment of all papers.
THE AWARD
The award to be a NON-floating award which can be retained permanently by the recipient. To be purchased
by the Business School organising committee and engraved with appropriate wording.
ADJUDICATION
The award to be judged by Business School attendees. The Business School organising committee to decide
exactly how this will be done (eg. delegates to complete an evaluation form, simple voting by show of hands or voting slips).
